July 7 - Fourth Posting
Today's class raised a lot of questions for using something like Elluminate Live with younger students. How can we strategically use a tool like this with younger students given that they have a difficult time logging in, security issues, etc. What is the youngest age group you have used a tool like Elluminate with? How effective was it? Are there tools like Elluminate Live but more suitable for younger children that I could try with elementary students? In addition, can you show us an example of how Video Conferencing works in an elementary classroom for tomorrow's class? I would love to see examples of how effective and purposeful this tool can be in the classroom once applied. If not in an elementary classroom, would you have examples of how it would work in a junior high or high school. I have seen it done at the University level, but find it challenging to utilize at the K-12 level.
